What is Creativity Lab?
Creativity Lab is an experimental, humanistic lab in which participants learn about creativity and become more creative.
At Creativity Lab, we believe creativity is not something that belongs to artists or a “creative class.” Creativity is for everyone. It is how we resist being colonized by the structures of domination that surround us. It is how we grow toward new identities and adapt to a changing world. It is how we discover our best and most meaningful work.
Open to faculty, staff, post-docs, graduate students, and undergraduates, Creativity Lab meets once a week for an hour to explore, practice, and reflect on creative practices. This is a democratic lab: The ideas come from the group and the readings we do together. Each week, a different participant will lead the session, drawing on her or his unique experience, wisdom, and questions to lead the lab.
In fall 2024, we meet Wednesdays at 4pm. If you’re interested in being part of Creativity Lab and can commit to coming every week, please fill out an application!
